Salary: $90/hour INC for 37.5 hours per week

Our client, a well-established and highly respected financial technology organization, is seeking a Senior Frontend / Angular Developer to join a major modernization initiative focused on rebuilding and enhancing enterprise-scale web applications.

This is a frontend-focused full-stack role where you will play a key part in transforming legacy platforms into modern, scalable, high-performance Angular applications. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys owning frontend architecture decisions, collaborating closely with Product Owners and UX teams, and driving UI best practices across Agile delivery teams.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative Agile environment and contribute to the design, development, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of medium-to-large-scale enterprise applications used in a highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Lead the design and development of scalable Angular applications using modern frontend architecture patterns
- Build reusable UI components and shared libraries aligned with enterprise design systems
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, Architects, and Backend Developers to deliver intuitive user experiences
- Modernize legacy applications into responsive, API-driven Angular platforms
- Implement advanced Angular concepts including lazy loading, route guards, reactive programming, state management, and performance optimization
- Develop and optimize REST API integrations using Angular HttpClient
- Improve frontend performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and frontend governance
- Mentor developers and promote frontend engineering best practices across the team
- Support CI/CD processes and frontend deployment automation
- Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience:

- 8+ years of software development experience
- Strong expertise with modern Angular (latest versions preferred)
- Proven experience building medium-to-large enterprise Angular applications
- Strong understanding of Angular lifecycle hooks, Routing, lazy loading, and route guards, RxJS and reactive programming, State management (NgRx or similar), TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Advanced frontend development skills with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
- Experience designing scalable, modular frontend architectures
- Strong experience integrating with RESTful APIs and JSON-based services
- Experience implementing frontend security best practices including JWT, OAuth, OIDC, and MSAL
- Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, Karma, or Cypress
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend build tooling
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within Agile teams

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Java / Spring Boot backend environments
- Exposure to Azure cloud environments and Azure AD
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working within financial services or other enterprise environments
- Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka or IBM MQ
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience with enterprise modernization initiatives and legacy application transformation
