What you'll be doing:
- Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot automated material handling equipment and conveyor systems
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize downtime
- Support PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, and automated equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Respond to breakdowns and identify opportunities to improve system reliability and performance
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to keep highly automated systems running efficiently
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with automated equipment in a manufacturing, automation, warehouse, or distribution environment
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems
- Exposure to PLCs, HMIs, robotics, conveyors, or material handling systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow in automation
- Electrical or mechanical trade experience, apprenticeship, or technical education is an asset but not required
