Position: Senior Frontend Developer (Lead FE)
Location: North York, ON - Hybrid
Salary: Up to $110,000 CAD

Our client is building the next generation of intelligent energy management solutions — combining real-time energy data, AI-powered insights, and modern user experiences to help consumers better understand and optimize their energy consumption.

They are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to take ownership of the frontend ecosystem and help shape the future of their platform. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on meaningful products at the intersection of AI, sustainability, IoT, and modern web technologies.

You’ll play a key role in transforming complex energy and billing data into intuitive, elegant, and high-performance user experiences across web and mobile platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Frontend Leadership & Architecture
- Lead frontend development and architecture across: Customer client portal, Admin platform, Mobile experiences
- Drive frontend standards, component architecture, and design consistency
- Collaborate closely with backend engineering and product stakeholders

UI/UX & Product Experience
- Design wireframes, prototypes, and polished user interfaces
- Translate complex workflows and energy data into intuitive user experiences
- Develop responsive, high-performance interfaces across desktop and mobile platforms
- Contribute to user research, usability improvements, and design iteration

AI-Powered User Experiences
- Build interfaces for AI-generated customer insights and recommendations
- Create interactive “Human-in-the-Loop” experiences for AI-driven features
- Help shape the UX strategy around AI-assisted workflows and insights

Performance & Scalability
- Build reusable frontend components and scalable UI systems
- Optimize application performance for data-heavy visualizations and real-time updates
- Support deployment strategies for web-to-mobile applications

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of frontend development experience
- Strong expertise with React / Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 / CSS3
- Experience building responsive and scalable frontend applications
- Strong UI/UX instincts with experience in wireframing, prototyping, design systems
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment

Preferred Experience
- Experience with Vue.js
- Experience in Energy tech, Fintech, data visualization platforms
- Familiarity with containerized deployments and modern frontend pipelines
- Exposure to AI/LLM-driven product experiences
- Understanding of Privacy by Design and protecting PII at the UI layer
