Position: Electromechanical Engineering Specialist / Technician (Intermediate)Location: Mississauga, ONSalary: $70K to $80KJob Type: PermanentPosting Type: Open VacancyWe are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Electromechanical Engineering Specialist / Technician to join a growing manufacturing client in Mississauga. This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate-level professional looking to build experience in manufacturing automation, controls, and production engineering within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will support manufacturing operations through troubleshooting, equipment improvements, automation support, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:- Support manufacturing and assembly operations through equipment troubleshooting and process improvements - Assist with automation projects involving PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and control systems - Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic controls-related issues on production equipment - Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve machine uptime and efficiency - Participate in equipment installations, modifications, and commissioning activities - Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives - Assist with developing work instructions, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation - Help identify opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization - Support preventative maintenance and root cause analysis activities - Perform hands-on testing and validation of equipment and production processes - Assist with integrating manufacturing equipment and automation systemsQualifications & Skills:- Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field - 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment - Some hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, or industrial automation systems - Solid understanding of controls systems, sensors, motors, drives, and pneumatics - Exposure to automation, robotics, or assembly equipment - Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings - Proficient in using SolidWorks - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Hands-on attitude with willingness to work on the production floor - Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment - Eagerness to learn and grow within manufacturing engineering and automationTo apply, please send your resume to Vanessa Tran at Vanessa.tran@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN A CASH BONUS!
