Analytics and Innovation Engineer

Position: Full Stack Developer (Innovation)
Location: Toronto, ON (Queen Street West) – 3 days on-site, moving toward full-time in-office
Salary: $95,000 to $143,000 annually

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join an Innovation team in Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful internal applications that support financial investigations, compliance reviews, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-powered solutions.

Your new role:

As a Full Stack Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of internal applications used by the business and improve their workflow. You will work across the full technology stack, developing frontend applications, APIs, backend services, and database solutions while collaborating closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders. The team operates in a highly collaborative environment where adaptability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.

This role offers the opportunity to work on multiple projects, rapidly prototype new ideas, and contribute to the growing use of AI and large language model technologies.

Key requirements:

- 3+ years of full-stack software development experience
- Experience with React and/or Angular frontend development
- Backend development experience with Python or similar technologies
- Experience designing and developing APIs
- Strong understanding of databases and data-driven applications
- Experience building MVPs, prototypes, or proof-of-concept solutions
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team environment
- Interest in AI, Generative AI, LLMs, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or related technologies is considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge ideas and provide constructive feedback when appropriate
