Position: Senior Accounts Payable Technician
Location: Dorval, QC (Hybrid 2 days/week in office)
Salary: $80,000$95,000 + Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Senior Accounts payable technician to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is looking to build a long-term career with a stable organization offering outstanding benefits, a hybrid work schedule, and opportunities for growth.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing.
- Review and match invoices to purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Prepare electronic payments, wire transfers, EFTs, and cheque runs.
- Assist with month-end close by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile accounts payable subledger to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor accounts, resolve payment inquiries, and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor outstanding payments and assist with cash flow reporting.
- Maintain capital expenditure records and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Support year-end audit requests by preparing documentation and account analyses.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Participate in special projects and provide general support to the finance team.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (BAC) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience using NetSuite ERP is required.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
