We have partnered with an amazing client the retirement living space to hire Regional Asset and Procurement Manager to join their Operations Team. This critical regional role is responsible for the oversight of property assets, building systems, and capital planning across multiple properties, ensuring reliability, compliance, and long‑term sustainability of our client’s physical environments.

The Regional Asset and Procurement Manager will partner closely with Community leadership, Operations, Finance, Facilities, Culinary, Wellness, and Construction teams to provide technical guidance, support preventative maintenance and capital investment planning, and ensure consistent standards across the portfolio.

As part of this mandate, the role also leads procurement and vendor management activities that directly support building systems, equipment, and capital assets, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, contract compliance, and service quality.

The ideal candidate for this role should have demonstrated experience in managing large‑scale equipment and capital assets within multi‑site environments, combining strong technical judgement with commercial and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide regional oversight of property asset management requirements across all properties
- Ensure reliability, compliance, and lifecycle management of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, energy, and utilities.
- Support and audit preventative maintenance programs, ensuring consistent standards and compliance.
- Act as a technical advisor to Community leaders on facilities operations, equipment performance, and asset condition.
- Support emergency response, issue resolution, and risk mitigation related to property assets.
- Lead long‑range capital planning, renovations, and major equipment replacement planning in partnership with Operations and Finance.
- Lead enterprise‑wide sourcing and lifecycle management for major equipment and capital assets.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance cost control, reliability, quality, and service delivery.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, renewals, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, pricing agreements, warranties, and service level standards.
- Mitigate procurement and operational risk through effective supplier and contract governance.
- Support successful transitions from construction to operations for new Communities.
- Assist with sourcing, specification development, commissioning coordination, and vendor onboarding.
- Ensure documentation, warranties, and operational readiness standards are met prior to opening.
- Partner with Operations and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
- Analyze spend, asset performance, and lifecycle data to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Provide guidance and best‑practice support to Community leaders.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for property asset management, systems, and related initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Significant senior‑level experience in property asset management, facilities management, or building systems oversight, including major equipment and capital assets, supported by relevant post‑secondary education or professional designation.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in property/facilities management, asset management, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading large‑scale equipment procurement in support of buildings and physical assets.
- Experience in multi‑site operations; seniors housing, healthcare, or hospitality considered an asset.
- Strong technical, financial, and contract negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage vendors, contracts, budgets, and capital projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with maintenance management or ERP systems an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to across GTA and on occasions other parts of Ontario.
