Posting Type: Open vacancy

We are recruiting a talented, self-driven Senior Product Designer on behalf of our client—an innovative technology company transforming the construction estimation field through AI-powered software tools.

In this role, you will serve as the founding designer, owning end-to-end product design across core digital workflows. Working directly with product leadership and a skilled engineering team, you will turn complex industry processes into clear, highly reliable, and intuitive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- End-to-End UX/UI Ownership: Lead design from initial problem framing and discovery to UI execution, edge-case coverage, and final implementation.

- Complex Workflow & Information Architecture: Craft intuitive navigation, deep data grids, and canvas/annotation interfaces for heavy workflows.
- AI-Driven Experience Design: Design interface patterns that communicate AI model confidence, simplify user corrections, and build user trust.
- State Surface & Edge Cases: Design complete product states—including empty, loading, partial, error, and permission states—not just ideal paths.
- Independent User Research: Conduct customer interviews and shop floor observations to ground product decisions in authentic user needs.
- Design Systems & Engineering Partnership: Establish the core design system and collaborate closely with developers to balance feasibility, scope, and design quality.

What You Bring

Must-Have Requirements:

- 6+ Years of Digital Product Design: Proven experience designing and shipping complex B2B, SaaS, or technical workflow software.

- Strong Product UX Foundation: Exceptional mastery of user experience, interaction design, information architecture, and customer-facing interfaces.
- Measurable Impact: A portfolio demonstrating how your design decisions drove clear user or business outcomes (e.g., efficiency, adoption, error reduction).
- Research & Analytics Proficiency: Experience running qualitative user interviews and leveraging behavioral analytics to validate design choices.
- Startup Mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, autonomous environment as a standalone or lead designer.
- Fluency in English: Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

- Background in construction tech, CAD/BIM, logistics, complex data visualization, or document annotation.

- Experience designing for machine learning or probabilistic systems.
- Familiarity with Figma and modern design tools.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

- High Ownership: Set the standard for product design and build the company's design practice from the ground up.

- Fully Remote Flexibility: Enjoy a permanent, fully remote position based in the Toronto area.
- Meaningful Work: Build software that solves tangible, complex real-world problems for expert domain users.
