Position: Healthcare Receptionist
Location: Downtown Toronto (On-Site)
Salary: $22 -$23/hr
Job Type: 1 month contract (potential for extension - immediate start)

Our non-profit client is seeking a Healthcare Receptionist to support the day-to-day operations of a community-based healthcare centre. This role provides reception, patient registration, appointment coordination, and administrative support while serving diverse and vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception, calls, emails, faxes, visitors, and patient flow.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate intake, screening, registration, and waitlists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and data across EMR and administrative systems.
- Process health records, forms, referrals, and related documentation.
- Support healthcare staff, volunteers, and daily clinic operations.
- Connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources.
- Handle sensitive situations, conflict, and emergencies professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and infection prevention standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners.
- 1–2 years of medical reception or healthcare administration experience.
- Experience with vulnerable or diverse populations; urgent care experience preferred.
- Proficiency with EMRs, Salesforce, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
- Strong communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
