Live-In Superintendent - Ottawa

Position: Live-In Superintendent 
Location: Ottawa

Are you a hands-on professional who enjoys keeping residential communities clean, safe, and well-maintained? If you have experience in building maintenance, apartment turnovers, and customer service, this could be an excellent long-term opportunity with a well-established residential property organization.

What You'll Do:

- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, vacant suites, and surrounding grounds
- Complete apartment turnovers in a fast-paced residential environment
- Perform minor repairs including doors, toilets, fixtures, lighting, patching, and light painting
- Respond promptly to tenant requests, work orders, and maintenance concerns
- Monitor building systems and report issues to site management
- Support preventative maintenance activities to ensure resident safety and satisfaction
- Work with contractors, tradespeople, and onsite property management teams as required
- Be on call every 2 weeks

What You Bring:

- Previous experience as a live-in superintendent, caretaker, building operator, or similar residential maintenance role
- Strong cleaning and janitorial experience
- Ability to complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
- Experience with apartment turnovers and maintaining common areas
- Knowledge of fire safety procedures and building operations
- Familiarity with HVAC, boilers, elevators, alarms, sprinkler systems, access control systems, or similar building assets is considered an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency
