Position: Backend Engineer (Go / Python)
Location: Remote
Salary: Up to $180K + Equity
We are partnered with a fast-growing, product-focused startup operating in the sports data and analytics space, building a next-generation platform that requires strong backend engineers who enjoy working on complex systems from the ground up. This is a fully remote opportunity (U.S. only) offering competitive salary (up to $180K) + equity.
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Building and scaling backend systems that handle real-time data and high-throughput workloads
- Designing and developing APIs and services in Go and Python
- Working on 0–1 projects, taking features from concept through production
- Contributing to system architecture, performance, and scalability decisions
- Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams in a fast-moving environment
What They’re Looking For:
- Strong experience with Go and/or Python in production environments
- Proven experience working on 0–1 systems or early-stage products
- Experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed services
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with high ownership
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate with autonomy
Nice to Have:
- Experience with real-time systems, data pipelines, or event-driven architecture
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS or similar)
- Experience working on performance-critical or high-scale applications

- Must be based in the United States
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
