Financial Controller

Position: Finance Controller
Location: Toronto – Hybrid
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000

Quantum is partnering with a growing real estate client seeking a Financial Controller to support the financial operations across multiple offices. This role will be responsible for producing financial reporting, supporting payroll and corporate tax processes, and helping transition several outsourced accounting functions to be managed more internally. The position works closely with senior leadership and external accounting partners to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a non-traditional role that may require you to wear multiple hats and support various responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and produce financial reports for seven global offices.
- Coordinate with an external CA firm responsible for month-end close activities.
- Support corporate tax preparation and compliance.
- Manage payroll processing through Payworks.
- Maintain accurate financial records including debits, credits, and reconciliations.
- Work with systems including QuickBooks Desktop, Salesforce, and Excel to manage financial data and reporting.
- Assist with transitioning outsourced accounting functions to in-house processes over time.
- Provide financial reporting and insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop required.
- Experience with payroll processing (Payworks preferred).
- Exposure to corporate taxes.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to manage financial data.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes.
