Position: Frame Department Clerk
Location: Burnaby, BC
Salary: $18.50 per hour
Contract Duration: March 23, 2026 – April 17, 2026
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Frame Department Clerk to support daily operations in a manufacturing environment. This role involves receiving frames, matching lenses with the correct job orders and trays, and ensuring accurate processing throughout the workflow while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive frames delivered by couriers and inspect them for scratches, defects, or damage.
- Sort incoming trays based on courier pickup schedules.
- Review and update orders in the computer system as they are received.
- Match invoices with trays and prepare shipments by scaling, wrapping, labeling, and boxing trays for mailing.
- Verify job status, tray numbers, and order details using the computer system.
- Place frames in the appropriate bins or trays and deliver enclosed jobs to Customer Service when required.
- Match incoming lenses with the correct trays and forward them to the next stage of processing.
- Ensure frames are matched with trays accurately and without errors.
- Follow established operational procedures and assist the management team with daily tasks as needed.
- Handle special requests from Customer Service and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role (optical industry experience is an asset).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- English proficiency (spoken and written).
