Position: HR Generalist
Location: Cornwall (On-site)
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Our well-established client is seeking to hire a hands-on HR Generalist to support their Cornwall plant. The ideal candidate will be managing the day-to-day HR functions, acting as a trusted partner to employees and managers. This role combines HR operations, employee relations, and compliance in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Advisory
- Guide managers and employees on workplace issues and policies
- Manage investigations and disciplinary processes
- Promote a positive, inclusive work environment
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and internal policies
- Handle confidential information with discretion
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Assist with payroll processing and resolve discrepancies
- Manage time and attendance updates and approvals
- Prepare reports to support audits and compliance
Benefits & Recruitment
- Administer benefits enrollment and respond to employee inquiries
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain HRIS data and generate reports on headcount, attendance, and key metrics
Collaboration
- Partner with HR teams and site leadership
- Support employee engagement and site initiatives
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in HR or related field
- 2-4 years as an HR Generalist with exposure to payroll, administration, benefits, recruitment, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation is required
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos)
- Ability to commute to Cornwall or willingness to relocate (relocation assistance available)
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and build relationships
