We are looking for an experienced Interior Glazing Estimator with a background in Commercial Glazing for a great client located in Brampton. The product lines include Framed & Frameless Glass Doors, Storefronts, Fire-rated Doors, Glass Railing, Curtain walls, and other interior and exterior applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires strong analytical skills, project management capabilities, and proficiency in Excel.

This role is an existing vacancy within our client’s organization.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for mainly commercial glazing (ICI, Residential etc.) project tenders, including materials, and labour.
- Analyze blueprints, architectural drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive project scopes.
- Prepare material takeoffs and quotations, noted to include quantity and types of materials being used.
- Conduct site visits, if required, to prepare an accurate estimate.
- Assist with preparing detailed shop drawings with required specifications for quoted scope.
- Develop a trusting relationship with Builders and subcontractors to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Obtain quotes and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, finishes, hardware, and services.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to bids.
- Execute any other related duties that may be requested from time to time by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Glazing Estimator.
- Background in Division 8 and 10 work scopes (doors, frames, hardware) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of aluminum doors, frames, storefronts, partition & interior systems, railings and windows and similar industry related Glazing systems and products.
- Experience with AutoCAD is an asset.
- Any related Sales or Field experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Architectural Diploma, estimating certificate, or education in the related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with excellent time management to meet shifting priorities within multiple projects with ease.
- Experienced and proficient in using computer programs specific to this role (Word, Excel, Outlook, Planswift, etc.).
- Strong attention to details to ensure a high level of information accuracy.
- Must be flexible to make site visits and attend client meetings for networking, blueprint reviews, and project coordination.
- This position also works closely with sales, operation, and installation teams.
