Position: Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer
Location: 4 days onsite, Downtown Toronto

Own and scale an enterprise Microsoft Fabric analytics platform.

We’re partnering with a large, data-rich public sector organization in Toronto to hire a Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of a modern analytics platform. This is a hands-on role with real ownership over architecture, governance, and enterprise analytics—not a reporting-only position.

What You’ll Do:

Platform Architecture & Ownership
- Lead end-to-end analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Design and manage OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, and enterprise data models.
- Build secure, scalable, and cost-efficient Fabric environments aligned with business needs.

Data Engineering
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Data Factory and Fabric compute engines.
- Integrate data from cloud, on-prem, and third-party sources.
- Implement data quality, lineage, governance, and access controls.

Analytics Enablement
- Create reusable semantic models and datasets for Power BI.
- Enable self-service analytics across the organization.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Support & Optimization
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Fabric workloads.
- Resolve production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the analytics platform.

Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with Microsoft Fabric releases.
- Recommend and implement platform enhancements.

What We’re Looking For:

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or closely related Microsoft analytics technologies
- Strong background in data engineering, analytics platforms, or BI
- Experience designing and supporting modern data architectures
- Solid understanding of data modeling and analytics concepts
- Experience supporting analytics platforms at scale
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance and security
- Microsoft certifications (Azure / Fabric) are a strong asset
