Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 + bonus + 3 weeks of vacation & benefits

Our client, a leader in the wholesale industry is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Representative / Business Development professional with a strong background in food service sales to join their growing team. This role is focused on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across the GTA within the food service sector, including restaurant chains, hospitality groups, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the food service sector.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new accounts and expand market presence.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase the company’s offerings.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity using CRM tools.

Qualifications:

- 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience within the food service industry.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding new business sales targets.
- Experience selling into restaurants, hospitality groups, or institutional food service clients.
- Strong understanding of the food service landscape and distribution channels.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills with a hunter mentality.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing abilities.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and influence decision-makers.
- Highly self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Results-driven with a focus on revenue growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience is an asset.

Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel within the GTA to meet prospective clients and attend industry events.
- Availability to participate in trade shows and networking events.
- Commitment to corporate standards and food safety compliance.
