Position: Sales Specialist
Location: Greater Toronto Area
Salary: $30,000 to $35,000 base + semi-annual bonus
Position Type: 6-month contract (with possibility to extend or be permanent)

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Diabetes Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a defined territory, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and driving sales growth within the diabetes care portfolio. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovative healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned territory as a business unit to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Call on high-prescribing physicians, diabetes educators, and pharmacies on a regular basis.
- Promote diabetes care products, including glucose monitoring systems, to healthcare professionals.
- Educate and influence HCPs to initiate patients on company products.
- Execute patient start programs, including clinic days and educational events.
- Develop and implement strategic territory sales plans, adjusting based on market insights.
- Utilize structured selling techniques, including pre-call planning, needs assessment, objection handling, and closing.
- Identify new business opportunities to grow market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and other sales representatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and follow-ups.
- Stay current on disease state knowledge, competitive landscape, and product updates.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3 years of medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience
- Strong understanding of territory management and sales strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships with healthcare professionals
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to develop and present innovative sales solutions
- Strong negotiation and business acumen
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and development
