Position: Senior Compliance Officer (Financial Services)
Location: Ottawa, ON (remote)
Salary: $55–$70 per hour depending on experience

Our client, a respected organization within the financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to support regulatory compliance and oversight activities. This role will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with established regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance or audit professional with experience in financial services who enjoys working with regulatory processes, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the administration and ongoing maintenance of regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain compliance procedures, documentation, and operational guidance.
- Review submissions and documentation from regulated entities to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Assist with maintaining and testing regulatory reporting tools, templates, and compliance systems.
- Respond to compliance-related inquiries from stakeholders and external institutions.
- Monitor adherence to regulatory reporting and data submission requirements.
- Prepare analysis and reports to support regulatory oversight and internal decision-making.
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance documentation is properly stored within internal systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams on compliance reviews, process improvements, and regulatory interpretation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Experience in compliance, regulatory oversight, audit, or risk management
- Experience within the financial services sector is strongly preferred
- Experience developing or maintaining documented processes and procedures
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and research skills with high attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Assets:

- Bilingualism in English and French
- Experience working with internal or external auditors
- Experience with financial reporting or financial analysis
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Security Requirement:

- Reliability security clearance or the ability to obtain one
