Position: Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid – 4 days onsite in Corporate Head Office
Our client is a Canadian real estate investment firm seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role plays a key part in financial reporting, fund operations, and investor-facing deliverables within a fast-growing, institutional investment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day fund and holding company operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, capital calls, distributions, and credit facility compliance.
- Assist with quarterly valuation processes and calculate key performance indicators at both asset and fund levels.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for investors and support investor relations inquiries.
- Coordinate interim and year-end audits, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Maintain general ledgers, consolidations, intercompany accounts, and oversight of third-party manager reporting.
- Support income tax compliance including Canadian partnership and corporate filings, U.S. partnership returns, and HST.
- Coach and mentor junior accounting staff while ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with asset management, investments, development, and investor relations teams.
What You Bring:
- University degree with 3+ years of experience in consolidation and financial reporting, ideally within real estate or asset management.
- CPA designation or active progress toward completion.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and investment accounting.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-performing finance teams.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and tools and advanced Excel skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
