- Develop, maintain, or improve automation and scripting solutions using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Work with both existing scripts and newly developed scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual administrative processes.
- Contribute to automation initiatives in large-scale environments, including configuration management, repetitive task automation, and infrastructure standardization.
- Collaborate with infrastructure architecture, operations, security, database, and application teams to support platform services and business-critical systems.
- Participate in disaster recovery and cyber recovery planning, testing, and support activities.
- Assist with capacity planning, lifecycle management, system currency, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and occasional on-site infrastructure work as required.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, ideally within large-scale organizations.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, high availability, distributed resource scheduling, and related virtualization tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise storage platforms, including SAN environments, Fibre Channel, block/file storage, snapshots, replication, and storage performance optimization.
- Exposure to Cisco fabric/network switching environments, including Cisco NDS/Fabric switches or similar enterprise switching technologies.
- Experience working in environments with multiple Cisco fabric/switching components is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on scripting or automation experience, with a strong preference for Ansible in large-scale environments.
- Experience writing, modifying, or executing automation scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure concepts, including virtualization, storage, networking, backup, automation, monitoring, and operational support.
- Experience supporting workloads across Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft SQL Server, and virtualized environments.
- Ability to perform day-to-day operational support, including incident resolution, change execution, troubleshooting, documentation, and manual infrastructure tasks when required.
- Experience with enterprise backup and data protection solutions supporting mission-critical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across complex infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with public cloud technologies such as Azure is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical responsibilities, infrastructure concepts, and previous hands-on experience.
