Position: Director-level Product Lead
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Our client, a global organization operating within a highly regulated environment, is seeking a Director-level Product Lead to drive the development and scaling of AI-powered products across the business.
This is a hands-on role focused on taking AI initiatives from proof-of-concept through to production, delivering real-world impact at scale.
Your new role:
- You will lead an agile squad responsible for building and scaling AI-driven products that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Working closely with engineering, data, and AI teams, you will define product strategy, prioritize initiatives, and drive delivery of AI capabilities across the organization.- You will play a key role in bridging business needs with technical execution, translating complex problems into practical AI solutions, while managing trade-offs related to performance, scalability, and adoption.
- You will operate in a flat, collaborative environment, you will be hands-on in shaping product direction, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring solutions are successfully deployed and adopted.
Key requirements:
- 5+ years of experience owning AI/ML products end-to-end (POC → production)
- Strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle (data, models, deployment, iteration)
- Experience working with AI as a platform or capability (not just features)
- Ability to articulate trade-offs and challenges in scaling AI systems
- Strong product mindset with experience in agile environments
- Experience working closely with engineering and AI/data teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on individual contributor
- Ability to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions
Nice to have:
- Experience with AI governance, model risk, or regulated environments
- Exposure to modern AI technologies (LLMs, GenAI, NLP, etc.)
- Experience working with data platforms or ML infrastructure
