Our client is a well-established Canadian organization with a long-standing track record of stability, performance, and growth across North America.

As the organization continues to evolve and grow, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Director to lead the people function and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. This is a highly visible role with broad exposure across the business and will oversee all areas of HR including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, HR operations, compliance, and employee engagement, while leading and mentoring a small HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and service-oriented function.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, compensation, and offboarding.
- Drive the continued evolution and optimization of HR programs, policies, systems, and processes to support organizational growth.
- Manage and enhance the organization’s HRIS platform (UKG), ensuring operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Partner closely with business leaders on recruitment strategy and talent acquisition initiatives across corporate functions.
- Lead employee relations matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
- Oversee compensation reviews, benefits administration, benchmarking, and market analysis.
- Champion performance management and leadership development initiatives across the organization.
- Develop employee engagement and retention initiatives that support a positive and collaborative culture.
- Prepare HR reporting, analytics, and insights for leadership discussions and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- CHRP or CHRL designation required
- Progressive HR leadership experience within financial services, investment management, professional services, or similarly sophisticated corporate environments
- Strong understanding of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices
- Experience managing HRIS platforms; UKG experience considered a strong asset
- Proven ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with senior leadership
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship management skills
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
