Position: Senior Workday Security & HRIS Analyst
Location: Fully Remote (Canada – working EST hours)
Salary: $110,000 + bonus

We are hiring a Senior Workday Security & HRIS Analyst to join a growing HR Technology team supporting a complex, multi-entity organization with a large, distributed workforce. This role is heavily focused on Workday Security (70%+) with additional exposure to HCM and core HR modules. You will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and governing Workday security architecture across a dynamic environment with multiple business units, employee groups, and compliance requirements.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you will act as the primary expert for Workday security configuration, access governance, and audit support while partnering closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain Workday Security Groups (role-based, segment-based, and user-based access models)
- Manage and administer Domain Security Policies and Business Process Security Policies
- Oversee user provisioning, access requests, and role assignments across multiple Workday modules
- Build and maintain secure access models aligned with least-privilege and segregation of duties principles
- Support security audits, compliance reviews, and access reporting requirements
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT teams to translate business requirements into secure Workday configurations
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues impacting reports, integrations, and end-user access
- Conduct ongoing security group cleanup, optimization, and governance improvements
- Support Workday enhancements, projects, and releases with a focus on security impacts
- Ensure appropriate access controls across complex employee groups, business units, and organizational structures
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Security configuration and administration
- Experience with Domain Security Policies, Business Process Security, and security group design
- Ability to troubleshoot complex access and visibility issues in Workday
- Exposure to multiple Workday modules (HCM, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, etc.) is an asset
- Experience working in large, matrixed, or multi-entity organizations
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to governance and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder-facing discussions
