Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance enterprise Windows and Linux server infrastructure. This role will focus on server administration, patching, automation, vulnerability remediation, troubleshooting, cloud infrastructure, and high-availability environments across physical and virtual platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, including server builds, configuration, upgrades, decommissioning, clustering, and ongoing production support.
- Own enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation, using tools such as SCCM, Ansible, and vulnerability management platforms to ensure servers remain secure, compliant, and up to date.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across operating systems, virtualization, storage, networking, applications, and cloud environments, performing root-cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Automate infrastructure operations using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting and configuration-management technologies to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Support cloud and virtualization environments, including Azure, AWS, VMware, disaster recovery, high availability, and server migrations, while maintaining strong documentation, change management, and ITIL practices.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on systems administration experience, with strong expertise supporting enterprise Windows Server and/or Linux/RHEL environments.
- Strong experience with server patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation, SCCM, Ansible, and infrastructure automation.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with experience resolving complex production incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and supporting high-availability and clustered environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMware and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, including server provisioning, migration, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell/Bash, networking, cybersecurity, change management, and disaster recovery, with excellent documentation and communication skills.
