About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and skilled 310T Mechanic to join our clients maintenance team in the King City, Ontario area.
This is a permanent opportunity for a qualified mechanic who can diagnose and who takes pride in quality workmanship, safe work practices, and keeping heavy-duty equipment operating reliably. You will work in a fully equipped maintenance shop performing diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks, tractors, trailers, and related heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy trucks, tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
- Complete preventative, predictive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance to keep equipment safe, reliable, and operational.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using inspections, testing, road testing, and diagnostic equipment.
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications, applicable regulations, and safety standards.
- Interpret work orders, technical manuals, service information, and repair procedures to accurately complete assigned work.
- Inspect equipment and perform routine quick-checks to identify existing or potential mechanical issues.
- Communicate additional repair requirements and safety concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Repair, rebuild, or replace defective parts, components, and systems efficiently and effectively.
- Install, modify, and repair vehicle components and additional equipment as required.
- Test and inspect repaired equipment to confirm proper operation, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Complete work orders, inspection reports, maintenance records, and time sheets accurately and promptly.
- Assist with parts identification, inventory monitoring, and ordering of required parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop and work area.
- Follow all company policies, occupational health and safety requirements, and applicable legislation.
- Perform other related mechanical duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician Certificate of Qualification REQUIRED.
- Licensed 310T candidates ONLY.
- Strong experience working on heavy-duty trucks, tractors, trailers, and diesel equipment.
- Solid mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment and interpret technical information.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift, handle, and work around heavy equipment and components.
