Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their Burlington warehouse team for a 12-month contract. This is a hands-on role supporting the movement of goods from international suppliers into Canada and onward to customers in the United States.

The successful candidate will have experience with Canadian and U.S. customs processes, import/export documentation, inventory management, and duty drawback programs. You’ll work closely with customs brokers, carriers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the import of goods from China and Vietnam into Canada, working with customs brokers and carriers to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
- Coordinate exports from Canada to the U.S. and other international destinations as required.
- Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure shipments meet applicable CBSA and U.S. CBP requirements.
- Review and maintain accurate HS/HTS tariff classifications and support proper duty and tax assessments.
Work with customs brokers to resolve shipment holds, documentation issues, discrepancies, and customs examinations.
- Track inbound and outbound shipments and communicate updates to internal teams.
- Support and prepare duty drawback claims for eligible imported and re-exported goods.
- Maintain detailed records of imported goods, re-exported products, duties paid, and drawback claims.
- Reconcile duty drawback refunds and investigate discrepancies when required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in Inflow Inventory or a comparable inventory management system.
- Receive shipments, process inventory adjustments, and maintain accurate product locations and stock levels.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure products are properly handled, labelled, and stored.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide visibility into stock levels and inventory requirements.
- Create customer invoices for outbound shipments using Inflow Inventory, ensuring product descriptions, quantities, pricing, and export information are accurate.
- Maintain organized shipping, customs, invoicing, and trade compliance records for audit purposes.
- Assist with internal procedures, SOPs, audits, and ongoing improvements to logistics and customs processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, transit times, freight costs, and customs processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, trade compliance, supply chain coordination, or a related role.
- Direct experience with Canada–U.S. imports/exports and international shipments from China or Vietnam.
- Working knowledge of CBSA, U.S. CBP, HS tariff classification, and CUSMA/USMCA requirements.
- Hands-on experience supporting or submitting duty drawback claims through CBSA.
- Experience with Inflow Inventory or a comparable inventory management system.
- Strong understanding of import/export documentation and customs processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, onsite warehouse environment.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- TDG Certification required.
- Safety shoes/boots required.
- Valid walkie/forklift license or willingness to get certified
