Quantum has partnered with a growing professional services organization specializing in workers' compensation and disability claims management to hire a Law Clerk / WSIB Claims Assistant for its Toronto office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team supporting employers across Ontario and Canada through claims management, appeals, advocacy, and consulting services. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting legal and consulting professionals while assisting with client matters, claims administration, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and operational support to legal and consulting professionals (Lawyers and Paralegals), as assigned
- Review, edit, proofread, and finalize correspondence, reports, and other documentation
- Communicate with WSIB, clients and external stakeholders via phone and email to obtain information and follow up on outstanding matters
- Assist with WSIB claims administration, including preparing forms, correspondence, and supporting documentation
- Support document management initiatives and maintain electronic filing systems within a paperless environment
- Prepare files for medical opinions, including document organization, redaction, and preparation of cover letters
- Assist with the planning and execution of educational sessions, training programs, and webinars, including presentation preparation, attendance tracking, handout creation, and technical support
- Provide docketing and billing support, including invoice processing and follow-up on outstanding accounts
- Perform general administrative and reception duties, including answering phones, handling incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages, and processing correspondence
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required
- Law Clerk designation and/or Paralegal license is highly desirable and preferred
- Minimum 3 years of administrative experience
- Experience with WSIB or another provincial workers' compensation board considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Customer service experience and direct client interaction experience are considered assets
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Eagerness to learn and develop expertise within workers' compensation and legal support services
