Position: Area Sales Manager
Location: New York City
The Opportunity:
Quantum Biosciences is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a driven and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to generate revenue growth and execute strategic sales initiatives within an assigned geographic territory. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding quotas, developing strong customer relationships, and successfully closing complex sales opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting new business, managing the full sales cycle, conducting product demonstrations, and collaborating with internal teams to drive territory performance. This position carries a significant sales quota and plays a key role in supporting the growth and development of sales representatives within the region.
This position has no direct reports and will assist in mentoring and supporting Territory Sales Managers.
Location:
- Territory-based sales role within NYC & Long Island.
- Approximately 60% travel required throughout the assigned territory.
- Regular interaction with physician offices, private practices, and healthcare providers.
- Fast-paced, high-performance environment requiring strong organizational and multitasking skills.
What You'll Do:
- Meet or exceed assigned territory sales quotas.
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, and networking activities.
- Present products and solutions to prospective customers through product demonstrations and consultations.
- Guide prospects through the entire sales cycle from lead generation to close.
- Create and close compelling sales opportunities through effective consultative selling techniques.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product features, pricing, and available services.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, urologists, OB/GYNs, cosmetic surgeons, and private practice physicians.
- Partner with Territory Sales Managers to support deal strategy and successfully close opportunities.
- Mentor and provide ongoing support to Territory Sales Managers.
- Cross-sell products and identify opportunities to expand customer relationships.
- Leverage clinical specialists, partner resources, reference sites, and internal stakeholders to achieve territory objectives.
- Collaborate with sales representatives across territories to share best practices and support overall sales performance.
- Effectively handle customer objections and convert opportunities into sales.
- Maintain accurate customer, lead, and pipeline information within Salesforce CRM.
- Provide timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports and forecasts to leadership.
- Ensure customer service and financial requirements are met in accordance with company standards.
- Achieve and manage a seven-figure sales quota.
What You'll Need:
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Strong prospecting, lead generation, and business development skills
- Experience cold calling both in person and by phone
- Ability to develop relationships and influence healthcare professionals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Resilience and determination to overcome objections and rejection
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to learn and retain technical product and industry knowledge
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
