Position: Senior Director, Information Technology (Transformation, AI & Enterprise Systems)

Our client, a growing Canadian organization with operations across multiple provinces, is looking for a Senior IT Director to lead its technology strategy and support the next stage of its growth and transformation.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a well-rounded technology executive who can combine strategy with execution. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to establish technology priorities, strengthen the organization's technology foundation, and lead initiatives across enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, automation and digital transformation.
Your Role
You will provide leadership across the organization's technology environment, developing a roadmap that supports both immediate business priorities and longer-term growth. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment where technology leaders are expected to be proactive, commercially minded and close to the business.
You will be helping shape the organization's approach to AI and automation and have the opportunity to identify practical use cases, evaluate emerging technologies and partners, and determine where AI can create meaningful improvements across business and operational processes. You will manage technology budgets, vendors, consulting partners and investments. And also establish meaningful KPIs and executive reporting around technology performance and investments.
Key Requirements:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, ideally leading technology within a mid-sized, operationally complex organization
- Proven ownership of enterprise technology strategy and major transformation initiatives while leading technology work associated with acquisitions and systems integration
- Strong experience with ERP and/or WMS implementations, migrations, integrations and optimization (MS D365 Business Central, NAV or comparable enterprise ERP environment)
- Broad knowledge across enterprise applications, cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, data and systems integration
- Strong vendor, consulting partner, budget and project-management experience
- Experience managing complex technology projects and third-party implementation or consulting partners
- Strong financial acumen, including technology budgeting and investment planning
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A pragmatic, hands-on leadership style with the ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution
- Experience working within a lean or entrepreneurial technology environment would be an asset
- Exposure to AI, automation or emerging technology initiatives
