Position: Fraud Prevention & Customer Support Specialist

Salary: $16.50/hr
Job Type: 6-month contract with potential for extension

Interested in fraud prevention, Trust & Safety, or investigations? This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience reviewing real customer and transaction activity, identifying potential fraud, and helping protect the integrity of a leading technology platform.

We’re looking for an entry-level Fraud Prevention & Customer Support Specialist to join a collaborative ecommerce team responsible for identifying suspicious activity, reviewing customer and shopper cases, and ensuring activity on the platform follows established policies and guidelines.

If you have experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, fraud operations, customer disputes, refunds/appeasements, transaction review, or customer support, this could be a great next step!

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll work across several operational workflows, reviewing both customer and shopper activity and using data and established guidelines to make informed decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing transactions, orders, and account activity for potential fraud or suspicious behaviour
- Investigating customer claims, including refunds, credits, and missing-order claims, by reviewing available information and identifying inconsistencies
- Reviewing shopper activity and order issues to identify potential policy violations or quality concerns
- Managing incoming cases and appeals while prioritizing work effectively
- Reviewing cases and customer history through Salesforce
- Completing detailed reviews and audits using Google Sheets and internal systems
- Following established knowledge-base guidelines and processes to ensure decisions are accurate and consistent
- Identifying trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve processes
- Escalating unusual or sensitive cases when appropriate
- Meeting established quality and productivity expectations while maintaining a high level of accuracy

What We're Looking For

This is an entry-level role, so we’re more interested in your ability to think critically, follow processes, and identify inconsistencies than in having years of fraud experience.

You may be a great fit if you have:

- 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced professional environment
- Experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, fraud, customer support, operations, quality assurance, or data processing
- Exposure to customer refunds, credits, disputes, appeasements, or transaction reviews is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns or inconsistencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment when working with sensitive or confidential information
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple cases or workflows
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

Nice to Have:

- Salesforce or another case-management system
- Google Sheets or Excel
- Basic SQL/data-query knowledge
- Experience working in a marketplace, delivery, technology, or gig-economy environment
- Previous experience in fraud investigation, Trust & Safety, content moderation, or policy enforcement
