Are you an experienced Order Desk professional who knows the building materials industry and enjoys being the go-to person for customers, orders and product knowledge?

We are looking for a confident, customer-focused Order Desk Coordinator to join a growing company specializing in natural stone and porcelain products. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key function within a close-knit business, where your experience, ideas and contributions will make a real difference.

You will manage the order desk from end to end, work closely with customers and dealers, coordinate with warehouse operations and play an important role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. With ambitious growth plans ahead, there is also an opportunity to help develop the department and take on greater responsibility as the business expands.

What's in it for you?

- Competitive annual salary of $65,000–$75,000, based on experience.
- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no weekend work or regular overtime.
- Two weeks of vacation, three sick days and additional personal days may be available.
- Benefits coverage available.
- A close-knit team environment where you can make a meaningful contribution.
- The opportunity to take ownership of the order desk and help shape its future growth.
- Potential to grow into a leadership role as the department expands.

What You'll Be Doing

- Take ownership of the order desk, managing customer orders from initial receipt through processing and invoicing.
- Process orders daily, ensuring accuracy across product codes, quantities, pricing and customer details.
- Handle incoming orders and inquiries by phone and email, providing prompt, professional and knowledgeable customer service.
- Become a go-to resource for product questions, helping customers and dealers understand product options, availability and requirements.
- Work with natural stone and porcelain products, supporting customers with product-related questions and recommendations.
- Coordinate with warehouse and yard personnel to confirm stock availability, order readiness and customer collections.
- Build strong working relationships with dealers, landscapers, swimming pool manufacturers and other business partners.
- Monitor orders, resolve discrepancies, follow up on shortages and keep customers informed of any changes.
- Process invoices, maintain accurate records and handle general filing and administrative responsibilities.
- Provide occasional reception and customer collection support, ensuring a positive experience for customers visiting the site.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to address questions, resolve issues and keep operations moving efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute ideas as the order desk continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in an order desk, order management, sales administration or customer service role within building materials, stone, tile or a related distribution environment.
- Strong product knowledge of natural stone, porcelain, tile or similar building products, with the ability to confidently answer customer questions and provide guidance.
- Experience managing orders independently from start to finish, including order entry, processing and invoicing.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics is required; familiarity with QuickBooks and Fishbowl is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers, dealers and internal teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the initiative to identify problems, find solutions and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Previous experience training or supporting other team members is an asset.
