Are you a software engineer turned Architect who still loves solving technical problems?
We're partnering with an innovative technology company transforming the in-store retail experience through AI-powered smart shopping solutions. As they continue to expand across major retailers, they're looking for a Software Solutions Architect to lead customer implementations and design the integrations that connect their platform with complex retail ecosystems.
This is a highly technical, customer-facing role where you'll own solution design from discovery through deployment, working directly with enterprise customers, engineering teams, and product leaders to deliver seamless integrations.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Act as the technical owner for customer implementations after contract signing.
- Design end-to-end integration solutions between our platform and retailer systems.
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer architecture and business requirements.
- Design integrations with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, payment platforms, product catalog and pricing systems, loyalty and rewards programs, coupon and promotion engines, other enterprise APIs and backend services
- Produce solution design documents, architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, and technical implementation documentation.
- Partner closely with software engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and deployment.
- Drive technical delivery, resolve implementation challenges, and keep projects moving forward.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and customer stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Contribute to ongoing platform improvements, including deployment automation, tooling enhancements, and data integration initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong software engineering background and enjoys designing real-world software solutions.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience as a Software Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Integration Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar role.
- Software engineering background (backend or full-stack development preferred).
- Proven experience leading the implementation of REST APIs and enterprise system integrations.
- Deep understanding of API design, integration patterns, authentication, and distributed systems.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as POS, payment systems, ecommerce platforms, loyalty programs, product catalogs, or other business-critical systems.
- Strong communication skills with experience leading technical discussions with customers and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to create solution architecture documentation and communicate technical designs clearly.
