Position: Accounting Clerk
Location: Toronto – Hybrid
Salary: $28 – $30 per hour
Job Type: 3-month contract (with potential to convert to Permanent)

We are partnering with a dynamic procurement services firm that supports the hospitality industry. They specialize in procuring Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) as well as Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E) for projects ranging from limited service to luxury. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join the finance team and support project accounting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Process project invoices, including matching and reconciling to purchase orders, entering in QuickBooks, and generating payment requests.
- Follow up with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to payment inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all payments and supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports for management review.
- File payment requests, check copies, and log postage to facilitate chargebacks.
- Support other finance and administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth workflow within the department.
Qualifications:
- College diploma in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks; familiarity with other accounting software is an asset.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills and ability to interact effectively with vendors, clients, and team members.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
