Salary: $50,000 (pro-rated for contract term)
Hours: 35 hours per week (3 days on-site)

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Temporary AP Coordinator to support their Accounts Payable and Finance team during year-end preparations. This is a contract role in downtown Toronto for a 4-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact vendors to request statements and follow up on outstanding items.
- Assist Accounts Payable staff to ensure all invoices are recorded before the year-end cutoff date.
- Journalize any invoices not processed by the cutoff date as needed.
- Reconcile vendor statements to confirm all invoices have been received.
- Perform account reconciliations and research invoices as required.
- Assist in creating journal entries for any identified errors and provide supporting documentation.
- Support year-end analysis and preparations, including creating working papers and validating reconciliations.
- Respond to auditor requests and provide required documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of internal control documentation and the creation of training materials.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or finance, preferably with Accounts Payable exposure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
