Position: HR Operations Specialist (Workday)
Location: Toronto (hybrid 3 days onsite)
Salary: $25 - $30/hr
Job Type: Temporary (4-6 weeks with potential for extension)

Our client is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to support the effective management and continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and procedures. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate employee data within the HRIS while delivering high-quality support to employees across the organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple departments, ensuring smooth HR operations and supporting initiatives related to employee lifecycle management, system administration, data integrity, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders by managing HR-related inquiries and workflows while continuously improving processes to meet evolving business needs.
- Communicate process updates and system changes to HR Business Partners and designated client groups.
- Support HRIS administration, including assisting with system configurations, testing, and implementation of small to medium-scale system updates.
- Manage and support the organization’s HR service management platform (Jira), including user administration, training, dashboard management, and system updates.
- Triage incoming HR service requests, assign tasks to appropriate teams, and ensure timely resolution of inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee data in alignment with corporate data governance standards, including performing data audits and updates as required.
- Prepare company-wide and ad hoc reports, including monthly and quarterly reporting, executive-level dashboards, cross-functional reporting, and external reporting.
- Support internal audit requests by providing required information and implementing recommended process improvements where applicable.
- Assist with additional HR projects and operational initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience using Workday is mandatory.
- 1–2 years of relevant post-graduate professional experience.
- French language skills are considered and asset.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
- Highly service-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
