Position: Human Resources Manager
Location: Niagara Region, ON | On-site | Start: ASAP
Job Type: 4-month contract
Our client is seeking an HR Manager for a 4-month contract to support the development of a more centralized and scalable HR function. This role works closely with the Director of Operations, CEO, and senior leadership, offering both strategic guidance and hands-on HR support in a unionized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Standardize HR policies, procedures, and documentation.- Lead policy development, compliance, and change management initiatives.
- Provide HR guidance in a unionized environment with two collective bargaining units.
- Advise leaders on performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, and accommodations.
- Handle HR operations including onboarding letters, agreements, documentation, and internal communications.
- Support senior leadership on strategic and operational HR needs.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including management or senior advisory work.- Experience in unionized, not-for-profit, or healthcare settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, policy development, and collective agreement interpretation.
- Confident, professional, and able to support leaders through sensitive situations.
- Strong written communication and ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.
