Position: Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)
Location: Fully Remote (Canada preferred)
Salary: $70.00 - $90.00/hour

Our client, a leading global e-commerce and marketplace platform, is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join their Invoicing Integrations team within a Financial Platform organization. This is a backend-focused role supporting production systems that power billing and invoicing at scale. The work is hands-on involving API development and SQL-based data validation. Engineers collaborate closely with finance teams and external partners to debug discrepancies, improve data quality, and respond to evolving business requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve existing Ruby on Rails integrations supporting invoicing and financial data flows
- Debug data discrepancies across invoicing and charge-log systems
- Write and iterate on SQL-based data validation and data quality checks
- Design and modify APIs used by internal teams and external partners
- Improve system reliability through better observability and error handling
This is a fully remote contract opportunity with a well-established platform team, having meaningful ownership over systems that directly impact financial accuracy and business operations.
